A letter from my neurologist to Jonathan Roberts from Dancing with the Stars for a project he is working on.
November 2021 MRI with the first exacerbation I've had in 15 years. I was blessed to have a speedy recovery from this one. The picture view is from a recent exacerbation caused when my husband and I tried to adopt a teenager from the foster system. It was clearly a situation that cost me neurologically. We did not go through with adoption and I have not had any further episodes. Additionally, this one had significant improvement within 6 months which was fantastic news for this very isolated MS event.
My brain, cervical, and thoracic MRI scans from 2006. Until this year, I only had four lesions in my brain. This attack caused me to become both blind in both eyes and physically incapacitated. It was the darkest year of my life, a year that inspired me to live every day to the best of my ability. (This picture is from my MRI)
