I have excessive damage from lesions in my brain and cervical spine caused by M.S. Doctors who do not know me and meet me for the first time, after reading my reports, expect to see me in a wheel chair. You can read a letter from my neurologist on his views of how I manage to function outside of a wheel chair.
Peer reviewed journal articles on benefits of ballroom dancing for Multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders.
We are always excited to share stories from other DAMMS members.
Nearly one million people live with multiple sclerosis in the US. Over the past 75 years, the National MS Society has been the driving force for progress and paved the way for nearly all the treatment options available today—but, they’re not finished yet. The Society is determined to be a lifelong partner and resource for every person affected by MS—those diagnosed with the disease and their loved ones—and to ultimately find a cure.
The money I raise through my fundraiser will help fund MS research, programs and services so that people affected by MS can live their best lives.
Please help me create a world free of MS.
Me and my instructor dancing waltz. Always improving. Wow, I never realized how much effort it takes. It makes sense how it can help with MS
In the face of chronic disease, MS, dance gives me life. Thank you to my new dance instructor Dr. Jang Don for my first waltz lesson with him.

My friend was dying from Glioblastoma brain cancer, so I started working on this routine. I was not able to finish before she passed. But will one day complete it.

2012 During graduate school, my neurologist decided it would be best for me to have IV meds every 8 weeks to prevent an exacerbation. The steroids gave me lost of brain fog among other side effects, this video clearly reflects some of those issues.
My personal goal is to help individuals to live their best life, with more functional and joyful attributes.
